Yippee! This Friday I am free and can make it to this new addition to Durban's market scene. The Market at the Square is held at the Granada Square in Umhlanga on Friday night and run by the wonderful people at The Market Co. So if you were planning on relaxing this Friday I would say why not put on your best, bring a tote and empty tummy and try something NEW! I look forward to seeing all the stalls and the fellow bloggers - so maybe I will see you there too :)

Tomorrow night is the night market we have all been anticipating!!! A new location and I am sure some new talent - in the food and craft industries respectively. I am very excited for this and encourage Durban folks to make a change in their week and get out of your house, cancel the reminder for the Bar One Man Hunt competition and get some GOOD quality, local is lekker food!

Seen this event flying around on Facebook? Now is when you find out what it is all about... The Litchi Orchard in Umhlali is having a Night Market next week Friday (29 June). Bring your blankets, some friends and some moola for treats from local stalls! Dinner under the stars and trees? Nothing better, me thinks.

Whats Cutting
I am almost certain that this business is becoming a household name and that every South African loving person has one of these items in their home... Whats Cutting is a laser cutting business that taken Durban by storm with their wide range of wood, perspex and even vinyl products. I first spotted them at one of the Durban Whole Food Night Markets and got my first ever Whats Cutting product, a wooden and white perspex clock with birds on it! I fell in love with the simple, sleek design and the quirkyness of the substances used together. These are some of my favourite items from their range and I will get a large Africa with the cities cut out of it for our new home. The walls would just be bare without it!
Visit Whats Cutting at Night Markets, I Heart Markets or find their products at Malva.

This little piggy went to market...
So this weekend in Durban is quite the fun filled weekend with markets to treat ourselves to. If you haven't heard of any of these things to do then here we go...
Too late now but the night market was last night and we had so much fun! Look at the cool pics we took at the photo booth?! I love them (how do I look with a fro?).
Keep track of where and when the Durban Night Market is here.
Then there will be the march madness of an i Heart Market on Saturday at Moses Mabhida!
Then lastly there will be a Wonder Market at Chris Saunders Park on Sunday morning! Lovely way to end a weekend full of fun and shopping! Bring family & friends for a picnic in the park with local goodies.
Look of the Day #80
Had such a fun time at the Durban Food Night Market last night. Whilst my fiance and mate from Indo were chatting to some local mates my good friend(and maid of honour), Liz, and I went about making our own cocktails... They were delish and clearly were potent as we can't remember what we named them :/ All I know is mine is very well represented in this look of the day!
Tot of gin : Tan clutch bag
Soda water : Leopard skinnies
Pear flavouring : Shoes and accessories
The blue straw I drank it out of : denim shirt

i heart market turns 3
This weekend marks the 3 year anniversary of the i Heart Market in Durban. So get there on Saturday for a stunning time of celebration and market shopping! But wait! There's more... Upstairs in Florida Road is hosting an i Heart Market birthday tonight! 19h00 til 22h00 (or later, this is Durban). Take a look at the FB page here for more details on the birthday party evening. Otherwise below are the deets to the market on Saturday.
Unfortunately wedding planning has me tied up for both of these celebrations. Tonight I have my bridesmaids dress fitting and I am OVER excited to see their cute mismatched dresses in the making. Then Saturday finds me at the florist checking out flowers and then having a long dress fitting for my dress! WOO!
I will be at the Night Market coming up tomorrow night! SO amped!

Night Market September
Next Thursday will mark Spring coming as well as the Night Market. I am sorry that I might not make this one because my Soldier will be playing a set at Cake Or Death at Unit 11 but let's see if we can squeeze in some celebratory dinner before-hand!

Night Market August...
There is much to celebrate this August... A friend's life, my 6 year dating anniversary with my Soldier, my brother's birthday, Sam(Everything Samantha Hearts) birthday and the end of the month will welcome spring! So why not start with a hoot. The Night Market August is tomorrow and you should really be there. It is a beautiful way to start the weekend and enjoy winding down after hectic days at work.
Take this pic and re-post if you are keen. Show Durban some love. See you there!
