Summer Must : Sheer Floaty Blouse

Whether it be patterned, bright colours or just a neutral tone... the sheer floaty blouse is a definite summer MUST have!

The key to this look :
- keep it simple. Choose a solid colour or a simple pattern.
- little features. Get something with buttons at the top or running all the way down or choose something with a detailed pocket. These little things will add fun to this easy going item.
- no-fuss sleeve. Choose something with a buttoned sleeve or a rolled sleeve. Even a loose fitting sleeve with a fold is great. Anything that cuts just below the elbow is perfect.
- colour perfect. Make sure that the one you buy suites your skin tone. It is one piece that is closest to your face so be 100% it makes you glow (especially with that summer tan).

Look of the Day #56

The pink maxi is catching my eye more and more. I think I could actually do with the maxi skirt in a variety of colours, fabrics and patterns... if only I knew how to make them. Love this look blending block colouring with a great neutral brown cropped jacket.

American Music Awards

Some awesome works of art walked the red carpet at the AMA's and I am not just talking about the people... 

 Taylor Swift looked golden in a Reem Acra dress. I loved her aqua accesories and her straightened hair do. What a difference but she looked beautiful. 

 Katy Berry Bubblegum Hair wore a funky Asian inspired Vivienne Westwood dress. Pops of colour were her thing as she rocked pink hair and bright blue platforms. 

Selena Gomez featured a simple Giorgio Armania dress with many show stopping gaps...

Merry Christmas Tree

After just posting on pallet DIY ideas I went looking for some more. On the same site, Home Edit, I found this awesome idea for a Christmas tree. Super simple but so cute and easy to decorate.

Pantone Hotel

My friend Liz of hatchingheart.blogspot.com has told me about this amazing Pantone Hotel. What a bright and wonderful place. This Hotel is in Brussels and is a very colourful experience.

Pallet Perfection

Whilst Googling ideas for rustic tables and DIYing them I found these stunning ideas for pallet tables. How amazing are these?

 Make your own coffee tables with extra storage(above). Add glass to create a chic finish(below).

 This is a stunning kitchen island made completely out of pallets.

 So simple. Add a pop of colour to a creative working desk. 

 Very rustic pallet dining table. 

One of my favourite ideas so far. The L-shaped sofa with extra storage space for mags and books. :)

Super Shorts

Scalloped edges, ruffles, colour blocking, groovy patterns, floral prints, sequins, lace, denim... Summer is on it's way and I am so excited to wear shorts to every occasion! Don't you love these styles?

 Denim by day and sequins by sunset... I look forward to this!
