Anticipation Design & Watercolour by Taylor

This lovely lady had posted a few comments on my blog and so I went to take a squizz at hers. Taylor has a beautiful lifestyle blog called Anticipation. Take a look at it {here}. But not only is she amazing in her blogging but her little pieces of artwork are the cutest most divine things I have ever seen. Well done! Have a look at some I spotted and then take a look at her online store on {Etsy}. Super cool, Taylor :)

Sharp{ie} Wall Decor

I don't know if you have ever tried to do anything awesome with a Sharpie... I bet this guy has! Timothy Goodman is a good man indeed. He can come and draw all over my wall whenever he wants! I love this wall decor idea - personal and playful. Think I may just give this a bash one day...
This is the wall of the Ace Hotel - Timothy Goodman.

Talkative Chair by Stefan Sagmeister

This chair was designed by Stefan Sagmeister. The words used to create the chair were words Sagmeister had written in his diary while he was away in Bali! The chair is spectacular although very unusual with phrases such as "my big toe appears to be dirty" woven into the other more lovely phrases such as "I very much love sitting here looking out over the Sayan Ridge... and letting my mind go". I think it is such a great idea!

Little Girls...

This is such a beautiful piece. It would be perfect for a little girls room (I know a few people have bambinos at the mo).

Jen-Jen Designs

We went to the House & Garden show this morning and I was blown away at how much better it was this year than last. So many new inventions and so much creativity from the home grown stands :) I especially LOVED the Jen-Jen Designs stand! She really caught my eye with her wall of miniature canvases of quirky sayings and illustrations and the two hessian "LOVE" stamped ottomans. I know I will be buying a few of those canvases very soon! Kitchen, lounge and bedroom - they will just go with anything :)

DIY Canvas Typography

Saw this cute idea on Pinterest and love that it is actually SO simple to DIY. {Here}
All you will need is letter cut outs so go for a font you like and choose the wording you want. As a designer I would prefer to design my own and cut them out of thin wood.
Stick the wooden letters onto canvas with some good glue and spray paint over in white (unless you want a whole other colour but I love the white on white look). Keen to try this sometime.

KZNSA RED Members Exhibition

So last Saturday I went to one of my ultimate places for breakies, NSA Art Gallery in Berea. So blessed to get there and realise that they had one of their big exhibitions on. They had their members exhibition and the theme/brief was RED. Not exactly sure of what the theme entailed but the artists all seemed to do such a great job. They all had an awareness of something whether it was politics, poaching or personal views. Here are a few I loved!

I encourage you to go and check it out! KZNSA, 031 277 1705.

Melanie Rolland

What a fine face that Melanie has portrayed in this illustration. I love the use of colour and would have this in a large size in my house. Stunning work.

A girl with long pigtails and a crown... A princess!

Today I mailed my mom a link to a blog that I found rather intriguing and I love the site too! Whimsy™ is a fascinating woman who designs and sells her goodies at the iHeart Market and online...

After I sent the link to my mom she responded with a picture she kept - happens to be on hand which is weird - because : "it was so unusual and not like anything you have done before or after".

Take a look at my drawing... I see a princess. What do you see?

Nautical...

Blogger and friend, Liz of http://hatchingheart.blogspot.com/ has advised an awesome sight for trends... Check her blog for more details on some of the latest!

One of my favourite trends all the time is a nautical trend... Image found on http://www.trendbible.co.uk/blog/ .
How cool are the anchor plates! I will definitely stencil those one day.
The nations are another passion to me so these pillows and crazy cool globes press my button!
The gold birds are a must for me as I love gold right now and birds painted in the God's colour are always perfect! Love the cute chair.
