Answers to my 11 questions from Sam:

What is your most prized possession and why?
Wow, this is quite the difficult one. I think I hold many possessions in high regard but I must say my engagement/wedding ring. It holds all the meaning to a long and very trying relationship and was the start of a new journey with my best friend and lover. The meaning behind the design is that the 2 strands on either side represent myself and Lee (my husband) and the centre circle is God holding us together and being our centre. The saying behind it is that "a cord with 3 strands is not quickly torn apart - so our love will endure together". The 6 diamonds placed 3 and 3 are from Lee's mom's old engagement ring and are positioned 3 and 3 as my favourite number is 3. I really love my ring and didn't get another for my wedding ring because it holds so much meaning and value for me as much as the both of us!
If you could be any superhero who would you be?
I would love to say Wonder Woman but I am not THAT much of a feminist. So I will go for Xena Warrior Princess. Not so much a cartoon hero but a hero none-the-less. Plus, I used to watch her when I was younger.

What would you say is your greatest quality and why?
I guess I would have to say my faith. I seem to feel that all things are possible even if the situation is super hard to see through. Silly things like finances don't often phase me and I always know that things will be OK. I think this stems from my past as I had to have faith that our family would make it through the hardest times and looking at us today we clearly did do alright! But this I can only thank God for!

Do you believe in love at first sight?
Um... tricky. It has to be love as so often the eyes see the outside. If there is something that you fall in love with when you see someone then clearly you are seeing past their looks which seems hard at first glance when we are all so quick to judge and make first impressions. I do believe it is possible though.

What would you name your son or daughter one day?
If I had a boy I would name him Chad (yep, like "the Chad" from Charlie's Angels). If I had a girl I would love the name Taylor or Elle (I must say I did not steal this from you Sam, we seem to have similar tastes in that regard).

What do you want for Christmas?
In an ideal world I would LOVE an MacBook pro fully installed with the latest Adobe Design Software but  I guess I could do with a the latest Typodarium or some money to go towards a trip or the future MacBook Pro :) Or any of the many coffee table books I have seen lately.

Who is your role model and why?
First and foremost I try my best to model Jesus. But someone who has been a huge influence in my life is my oldest brother, Ryan. He has always stood up for our family and been so firm in his beliefs (no matter what they are). I can always remember myself looking up to him from a young age and following him in everything from his style in music, dress (I used to wear his old flannels), interests and faith. I love all my brothers equally but I guess there is something about being the oldest... :)
If you won the lottery what would you do with the cash?
I would definitely start by getting some financial advice! Then I would buy my parents and myself a car, give my folks some money to assist them, buy all my family members something special, get Lee and I a holiday away to the Greek Islands (for like a month), buy myself that MacBook Pro with software, buy us a house so we'd be sorted & start decorating it. But seeing as the lottery is so large now I would definitely start an organisation of some sort in and around Durban to assist the homeless. It is seriously on my heart. Get them some good jobs and on their feet towards a better life. It would be called, "Cleaning Up The Streets". Along with them being taken off of the streets and placed into good care, there would be a side where people would volunteer to clean the streets of Durban generally and at big functions. I would also put a lot into a good savings fund for my future children if they come :)

Are you left or right handed?
I am right handed. Unlike my role model ;)

What did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be a songwriter at some point (my first song was about a man on the street with a bottle of rum). Then I wanted to be an interior decorater. I landed up a graphic designer but my passion even as a young girl has always been to use my God given love for people on the streets so hopefully I can get that soon!

What has been your greatest achievement thus far?
My greatest achievement is that although all the hardships and battles of life I have remained true to myself. To be honest, that is a big one for me and at any moment in my life I could have gone in the wrong direction due to other persuasions but I have always known who I am and whose I am and that has kept me grounded in God's love and truth and kept me safe! A physical achievement would be planning my wedding. It was a long time to plan and I managed with much patience and help to get my dream wedding day :)
Another giant thank you to Sam! It has been enlightening to myself to have answered these lovely yet challenging questions. So now I nominate 11 other bloggers who I feel deserve the prize:

Lerissa from Hatching Heart

Kerry of GuessWhatGirls
Adheema of Davey Darling
