There is one thing I love about cooking programmes on TV - everyone has their opinion about everyone! Ha ha. It is so true. So-and-so doesn't enjoy Jamie Oliver because he is hogging the cooking channel, this one doesn't like Nigella because she eats everything and everyone just loves Guy and his Diners, Drive-In's and Dives... I have those views about certain chefs too but one lady I love to watch and grew to love is Sophie Dahl! For a little while I wondered how a writer/model began a career in cooking on TV... then I couldn't care less. I loved her style of simple yet delicious meals and her story-telling between mixing ingredients. She takes listeners to a place where she has been and makes you feel like you're living in fantasy with flavour!
So if you haven't watched "Delicious Miss Dahl" on the FOOD channel yet, give her a try.
Her kitchen is something out of an English rose and her menus are all created from a specific mood.
Did you know:
Sophie Dahl is the granddaughter of famous author, Roald Dahl.
She has written various books such as, The Man With The Dancing Eyes and Playing With The Grownups.
