Madame Zingara

I am blessed! My Soldier did want to spoil me with tickets to the Madame Zingara circus but unfortunately we had spent a lot on Coldplay tickets and saving for the trip! Any way he did still pray we'd get tickets some how... God answered!

We got free tickets and were able to go on Wednesday night. It was much more than I can TRY to explain.  We were sitting in a 100 year old tent with mirrors enclosing us. It was such extravagance and a complete show from the entrance to the encore! We had the most informative host at our table who explained how the show had started and had also told us that the tent is still owned by the family who created it 100 years ago.
The waiters and waitresses were dressed and implanted with a different character and all performed so well at the table and around them. We first met the "Mad Hatter" who was the best I have seen live! He truly was crazy!
There was also a lizzard man who went from table to table and stalked in corners to tease. He was so well camouflaged.

We were served as we got there with a mezze platter of pear and spinach soup with some cheeses and dips and bread sticks.
There after the waitress came and told us the menu for the starter and the mains so that we could think about. She came back about 15 minutes later to check up on us as well as take our order.
The show started. Acrobatics and afro sounds took the centre stage until the starter and the woman entertained us throughout the starter.
The show continued after the starter and the blue Mongolian princesses came out and contorted their bodies enough to make me think they had no bones!
After this the amazing singers came out to entertain us during the main! I ordered the famous chocolate chilli steak and it was much more than I expected. We also were treated with two bottles of wine on our table as well as any other drinks we wanted to order. My taste buds were in party mode! =)
Again the show continued and dessert was served. A trio of Toffee Malva Pudding, Lemon Infused Creme Brulee and Strawberry Mousse.
The last part of the show was truly stunning as a giant chandelier was attached to the centre of the tent and the dancer came out dressed in a black shimmering dress smoking a thin cigarette and drinking "whisky". After putting it out in her whisky she fell and tangled herself into the chandelier... She left and returned in a much "easier" costume to perform in and climbed into the chandelier to dance the finalé within the torn chandelier. It was beautiful!
I encourage you to join them in this experience as it is constantly changing. This is a wonderful display of talent and creation.

It is so amazing Sam. And I didn't have much to dress up with but they have a shop there so it was fine. I bought a little top hat designed fascinator with a peacock feather. It really was an enjoyable evening.
