Saturday marked a week til our big day. How fun???!!! But look at what my maid of honour and I made. A few months ago we got some plates and glasses from the SPCA market for around R3 and R5 and planned to make these cake stands for our sweety table for the wedding! :) So here's a before & after...

Fashion 101 : Scarf vs Snood

I am sure you have been hearing this new word floating around and may be unfamiliar with the term "snood". Well I know when I spotted a friend wearing one I mentioned it and she had NO clue what I was talking about... So here is a little low down (but I am sure I am preaching to the choir)

A snood is a tubular form of a scarf. It has no ends as such as it just loops over your head. Basically that is the only difference between the scarf. Snoods have also become quite chunky compared to scarves and are the most ideal option for winter this year! Love snoods!

Elbow Patch

I FINALLY managed to get myself a grey cardi with black elbow patches!!!! Although I had to head to the kids section and grab (a still to big for me) age 13-14 one, I am glad I have one :) Don't you just LOVE them? I am so in love that my handsome fiance just got a shirt with them on {here}. Yes, I have Instagram.

JJ - A Life Well Lived

...but one that ended too soon. Last week JJ Willis passed away in a plane crash in Indonesia. He had just gotten a new position as porter pilot and was too stoked! After a flight with an Australian photographer taking aerial shots, the plane went down due to a fuel malfunction. When I found out the morning after it had taken place I was shocked and devastated to have lost such a great friend. JJ was never the most sentimental and hated it when girls cry but all of us friends could not help but come together and remember the memories of JJ. All so funny and so typical of JJ. But I just wanted to send out a blog post to honour our awesome friend JJ Willis. We miss you SO much and I think much more than you would think... There is so much love for you in our hearts and our prayers & thoughts go out to your family.

I went to buy my bridesmaids gifts on Monday & found myself in the awesome Lovisa store. They had a special on some items & so I was able to get this cute rock, paper, scissors ring. I love Lovisa!
